Choose the right Grip

The grip size refers to the circumference of the handle. The circumference is measured in two units and both are listed on the racket. The first is the European “L” measuring system. The latter is the imperial system, measured in inches.

There are six different grip sizes available for adult tennis rackets. Keep in mind not all rackets are made available in every grip size.

At Rackets & Runners we like to fit our rackets by having the player grip the handle of the racket with an eastern grip (think of holding a hammer or frying pan). From there we are looking to achieve about a finger’s width between the tips of players fingers and the palm of the hand.

If you cannot visit our store or have access to a racket to measure yourself, but have access to a ruler, no need to worry. Open your dominant hand with your fingers pressed together, and measure from the tip of your ring finger to the middle horizontal crease of your palm in inches. This measurement will correspond to your grip size.

If you are between grip sizes, we always recommend going slightly smaller as it is much easier to build up a grip size than it is to decrease one.

Great control paddle

Had the 6.0 DBD, great control paddle but was lacking a bit of power. This J2TI gives me the extra pop that I needed without losing the control, touch and reset capability. Great paddle.

Perfect all-court paddle

Online reviews of this paddle are pretty accurate. After trying elongated and wide paddles, I can now say that an hybrid shape suits me the best (mid-level player). This is a perfect all-court paddle, that new and mid-level players should seriously consider. Soft enough to play by the kitchen (I now can control / place the ball more accurately) and it has enough power to propel the ball from the back of the court. Need a bit of a break in period, like most paddles. This is my 3rd paddle purchased online from this store and again, the delivery was quick. Will purchase again from them when the time come… Love the hand-written note thanking me to support their “mom and pop” business! A nice touch…

Exceptional!

Pickleball Sword & Shield J2Ti Blue 16mm, in this price range, is an awesome performing paddle all round. Light enough for quick counters with plenty of pop for quick put away shots. Exceptional spin control for slices and top spin drops. I added some weights for the soft game and that too was very nice.

20 hours of play time and I am really loving the J2Ti

This paddle is awesome! I was leaning a bit more control with good power and pop and this delivered. Its a great all court paddle.

Warranties are in place to remedy abnormal breakage from normal use or for manufacturer defects. 

Eligible paddles are able to be returned within 14 days of delivery for refund. Before 30 days, customers are eligible for an exchange (in-store only) or store credit (in-store and online).To be eligible for refund, the plastic wrap on the paddle handle must not be removed and the paddle must not have been played with. Sale items under 50% off are only eligible for store credit upon return.
