I filed a claim, what happens next?

Our team will review your claim. If your paddle looks defective, we'll have you ship it to us for inspection.

Once approved, you'll get a return shipping label by email. Shipping costs depend on timing:

  • Within 30 days of delivery: we cover all shipping costs for manufacturer defects.
  • After 30 days: you're responsible for shipping the paddle to us and shipping the replacement back.

As a small retailer, we have to follow each brand's warranty policies, including their requirement that paddles be physically shipped in for inspection. Covering shipping both ways on every claim isn't something we're able to do.

All paddles go through managerial inspection. Here's what happens after:

  • Defective: we replace it with the same model (subject to availability). If it's been over 30 days since delivery, we'll send an invoice for return shipping.
  • Not defective: we'll send an invoice to cover shipping the paddle back to you.

What is NOT covered under warranty:

Since warranties only cover manufacturing defects, normal wear and tear isn't included. This means:

  • Faded graphics
  • Small dents or scratches from play
  • Ball markings

Warranties also don't cover improper use, maintenance, storage, accidents, or unauthorized alterations.

Any damage from your paddle hitting the ground, court, or anything other than a pickleball (like exposed graphite, edgeguard damage, face separation, scuffs, or chipping) isn't covered, since this kind of damage doesn't happen from normal play.

Same goes for damage caused by improper storage. Avoid storing your paddle in a car trunk or garage: extreme cold can crack it, and extreme heat (like sitting on a hot court too long) can soften the glue.

Edge cracks and chips also aren't covered, since they don't result from simply hitting pickleballs.

What is covered under warranty:

There are a couple of key terms when discussing warranties for pickleball paddles.

DELAMINATION: this is an umbrella term for two issues covered under warranty:

  1. FACE SEPARATION: If you knock your knuckles against this type of delaminated paddle, the sound will be loud/hollow rather than the lower/dense sound of a normal paddle. This is covered under warranty.
  2. CORE CRUSHING: If you take the paddle and press your thumbs firmly into the middle of the paddle and you hear a crackling/crunchy sound, the core of your paddle is crushed. This is covered under warranty.

BUMPER DETACHMENT: If the bumper of the paddle detaches from the face abnormally (i.e. not from a physical blow), this is covered under warranty.

If these or something else you believe to be a manufacturing defect or abnormal breakage are the issue with your paddle, please proceed to the next section for instructions on how to submit a warranty claim for your paddle.
