Learn to Run 10K Clinic Level 1

For those interested in pursuing their very first 10K Clinic. By the end of the 14 weeks, you will be able to walk and run 10K.

Recommended for:
Walkers looking to take up running
Runners returning from injury and looking for a conservative return-to-run program.

Requirements:
For those who can walk 3-4 days a week for a duration of at least 20 minutes
Can commit to 4 days of training

Duration Commitment Cost
14 weeks 4 days a week of walking and running $140.00

What You'll Need
A simple watch that can be set up for walk-run intervals.
Alternatively, we can help you find an app that can be set up the same way
A pair of comfy running shoes!

LEARN TO RUN 10K CLINIC LEVEL 2

For those with some running experience under their belt but need a structured program to advance their training. 

Recommended for:
Runners returning from inactivity and looking to re-introduce running into their lifestyle.

Requirements:
Can run and walk 3-4x week for at least 15 minutes
Can commit to 4 days of training

14 weeks 4 days a week of walking and running $140.00

Beginner Half Marathon

For those interested in pursuing their first Half Marathon.
An easy-to-follow running program for individuals looking for some guidance in running their first half marathon.

Recommended for:
Runners that have run at least one 10K race.

Requirements:
For those who can run at least 2 times a week.
For those who can comfortably run 10K continuously.  
For those who can commit to 4 runs a week.

Total mileage during 14 weeks: 586K

Duration Commitment Cost
14 weeks 4 days a week of running plus at least 1 day of Cross-Training. Race day - Middle to end of May. $140.00

What You'll Need
Running watch that calculates pace. There are many apps that will achieve this same goal.
Proper pair of runners.
Commitment to achieving this goal.

Intermediate Half Marathon

For those interested in pursuing another first Half Marathon with a goal time in mind. An easy-to-follow running program for individuals looking for some guidance in running their personal best.

Recommended for:
Runners that have run at least one half marathon.

Requirements:
For those can run at least 3 times a week. 
For those can comfortably run 15K continuously.  
For those who can commit to 5 runs a week.

Total mileage during 14 weeks: 748K

14 weeks 4 days a week of running plus at least 1 day of Cross-Training. Race day - Middle to end of May. $140.00

Meet Your Coaches

Coach Liz

Liz started her running journey in 2001 and has been formally training for road races since 2008. She's participated in road events that range from 5K distances to multi-day relay races. Liz recently finished the New York City Marathon 2019 and will be headed to the Chicago Marathon this year. Liz holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from SFU and is a certified run coach through the RRCA.

COACH TIM

Tim has been running with Rackets & Runners since 2010 and became a run leader in 2011. He has over 20 years of coaching experience in various sports.
In addition, he became a certified running coach for Rackets & Runners in 2018. Tim ran his first marathon in 2009. Since then, he has run 15 races including 4 in Boston with a personal best of 2:58. Though Tim does not race as often anymore, he remains an avid and passionate runner.
